Assisted Stretching
in Bergen County
You lie on the table and Daine does the stretching. Hamstrings, hips, shoulders and back, taken further than you get on your own and held there. Book it as a session of its own or as the end of a training hour.

What gets worked
Lying down first, then seated. Daine moves each joint through its range, holds it where you stop, and eases it a little further each round.
On the table
Lying down, so your legs are relaxed and Daine can take the weight.
- HamstringsStraight leg raised and held. The one most people can't get far into alone, because the leg has to be relaxed to go.
- HipsKnee bent and taken across the body, then out to the side. This is where sitting all day and heavy squatting both show up.
- AdductorsLeg opened out with Daine at the hip. Tight inner thigh is what shortens a squat and a lunge.
- QuadsSide-lying, heel drawn toward the glute. Loaded on every leg day and rarely stretched properly after.
Seated
Sitting up, for the joints that only open with someone behind you.
- ShouldersArm pulled across the chest, then behind. Pressing and pulling both leave these short.
- ChestHands behind the head, elbows drawn back. Undoes a day at a desk and a week of bench.
- Upper backRotation and side bend from the seat, held. Where stiffness lands when the hips and shoulders stop moving.
- NeckGentle, last, and only as far as it goes that day.
Two ways to book it
On its own, the session covers the whole body from the table. You don’t need to be a training client, and most people who come for this alone come weekly.
Added to 1-on-1 personal training or small group training, it takes the last part of the hour, aimed at whatever that day’s lifting loaded. Daine decides the split once he knows what your range needs.

Who comes for it
Lifters who lost range
Years of training tighten what they build. A weekly table session keeps the squat deep and the press overhead without giving up any of the lifting.
Stiff from sitting
Hips and chest close up from a desk, and stretching them alone is slow and easy to skip. Someone else doing it gets further in one session.
Anyone who won't stretch alone
Most people know they should and don't. Here it's on the calendar and someone else is doing the work. You just show up and breathe.

Common questions
Do I have to be a training client?
No. Plenty of people come for the table only. If you do train with Daine, the stretch can close out the hour instead of being a separate visit.
How long is a session, and how often?
A session on its own runs long enough to work the whole body. Added to a training hour, it takes the last part of it. Most people come weekly. Daine will say what your range needs.
What do I wear?
Gym clothes you can move in. Nothing else to bring; the table and towels are there.
What does it cost?
It depends on whether it's a session of its own or added to training, and how often. Daine quotes once he knows what you need. There is no package to buy first.
