Personal training,
rep by rep.

The point of having someone in the room is that the plan doesn’t have to survive a bad night’s sleep. Daine picks the load on the day, sees the rep that starts to break down before you feel it, and changes what comes next. Twenty years of doing that, one client at a time.

Why in person

The coach in the room

An app can hand you a program. It can’t see that your left shoulder rides up on the third set, or that today is a day to pull the weight back rather than push through it. That judgement is what you’re paying for: someone adjusting while it’s happening, not two weeks later when the numbers have already stalled.

In practice it means the session you get is the session you need that day. Same goal, same direction, but the exercise order, the load, and how hard you’re pushed all move with your sleep, your stress, and whatever the last session left in your legs.

The session

How a session runs

Five parts, in this order, every time you train.

  1. 01

    Check in

How you slept, what's sore, and what the last session left behind. The short conversation that decides everything after it.

  2. 02

    Warm-up built for the day

Not a token spin on a bike. Whatever today's main lift needs loosened, switched on, and rehearsed light.

  3. 03

    The main lift

The work the session is actually for. Daine picks the load set by set, spots what you can't see, and calls the last rep before your form goes.

  4. 04

    Accessories and weak points

The unglamorous half. Whatever's lagging, whatever keeps you healthy, and whatever your main lift is waiting on.

  5. 05

    Debrief

What got logged, what moved, and what changes next time. You leave knowing the plan instead of guessing at it.

Expectations

Who handles what

Coaching is a split responsibility. Daine is straight about his half from the first message, and about yours.

Daine handles

  • The programming: every set, rep, and progression, rewritten as you move.
  • Load selection on the day, and the spot when you're working near your limit.
  • Form, from the setup through to the rep that's about to break down.
  • Tracking what's working, and saying so when something isn't.

You handle

  • Showing up. Consistency beats intensity, every single time.
  • Sleep and food between sessions. That's where results are actually built.
  • Telling him the truth about your week. He can't program around what he doesn't know.
  • Effort inside the session. He'll set the ceiling; you have to go reach it.

Questions

Before you get in touch

I've never lifted before. Is 1-on-1 the right place to start?

It's the best place to start. Nobody learns to squat properly from a video, and the habits you build in the first two months are the ones you keep for years. Daine starts everyone where they actually are, not where a beginner program assumes they are.

How often should I train?

Most in-person clients train two or three times a week, which is enough to progress without wrecking your recovery or your schedule. Tell Daine your goal and he'll tell you honestly what it needs. Sometimes it's less than you'd expect.

What does it cost?

Rates depend on how often you train and whether you're training solo or splitting sessions with a partner. Daine quotes it once he knows what you're actually going to need. There's no package to buy before you've spoken to him.

Where do sessions happen?

In Bergen County, New Jersey. Daine trains clients from Hackensack, Paramus, Teaneck, Fort Lee, Englewood, Ridgewood, and Fair Lawn. He'll confirm the location when you get in touch.
